Getting there
We will pick you up at the Windhoek International Airport in person and you will be on Otjimbuku after about two hours.
Recommendation for clothes and hunting clothes
For hunting we recommend hard-wearing clothing in muted colors and firm footwear. Sweatshirt and jackets are recommended for the morning and evening. In the winter months (from May to August), the temperatures can drop below the freezing point, we advise you to prepare for a booking in the months mentioned above. Sunglasses, hat and sun screen for the mostly sunny days should not be forgotten. Boots, not too heavy, practical clothes, not too light, sweater and a wind breaker for the evening. And, of course, your hunting equipment. In case you need special medication, we strongly advise you to bring it in sufficient quantities.
Weather
The Namibian summer lasts from September to April. Temperatures between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius are common throughout these months. From December to April, rain can be expected, especially in the afternoons. The winters are mild, sometimes very cold. During the day, the thermometer rarely rises above 25 degrees Celcius. In the evening, or in the morning, frost can be expected.
Hunting season
Hunting season lasts from 1 February to 30 November every year. According to the regulations of the nature conservation authority, a hunter may harvest two specimen of each species. Wounded game, which is not brought down despite careful after-searches, is calculated to the full amount. Bird hunting: The hunting time for the various species is redefined annually after the rainy season.
Visa
Please check your visa requirements before traveling to Namibia. Hunters from the Schengen countries usually do not need a visa. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months.
Reservation
A deposit is required for reservations. On receipt of this deposit, your reservation is valid and confirmed. The deposit will only be refunded if a written cancellation occurs more than six months before arrival.
Weapons and ammunition
The import of weapons in Namibia is easily possible. Please inquire at the German customs office. The import of bow for the bow hunting is permitted. An import permit is not required.
We prefer it if you bring your own weapon with which you are familiar. If this is not possible, you can borrow a weapon from us (chargeable). Please register in advance. It is recommended to use a Jaguar Lever with a minimum caliber of 7mm and ammunition with a bullet weight of 11.5 grams or more. We will provide the required hunting permits for the launches you wish for free of charge. The raw preparation of the trophies will be carried out by us immediately.
Trophies
The cleaning and bleaching of the trophies on the farm takes about 4 to 6 weeks. We then take the trophies to the freight forwarder to Windhoek, which takes over the dispatch. preparations

Vaccinations
Please consult your doctor about vaccinations. We recommend that your tetanus vaccination is still up-to-date. Otjimbuku Farm is located outside the malari area.
Insurance
We take all precautions for your safety: Your host is trained for accident assistance, a first aid bag is always on board the hunting vehicle, while a liability insurance protects you from certain damage during the hunt. However, we recommend that you take out an appropriate foreign insurance for illnesses, accidents, return transport and the loss of luggage and weapons. The huntsman is not liable for losses, accidents, damage or delay.
Electricity
220-volt electricity, mobile phone reception or WLAN is available.
